Op Art
Op Art or Optical Art was a short lived art movement of the 1930's. It is a style of visual art that makes use of optical illusions. Major exponents of this type of art were Victor Vasarely and Bridget Riley.
These images are my humble attempt to create artworks in this style.
In September 2014 I was asked for permission for my Striped Water image to be used by a school for disadvantaged pupils to recreate it using Lego and then to place it in an exhibition in January 2015. The build took 36 hours to complete and took over 7,000 bricks.
